Listening to The FORZ's sophomore album Running From The Past, it's hard not to see the irony in the title. The brain child of songwriting duo Cole Tyler and Anthony Graziano, the Boston power pop quartet has embraced a wonderfully Beatles-esque/surf rock dynamic, bringing a modern energy to a tried and true formula of quality songwriting and simple, catchy melodies. All four members share the title of lead singer, adding an extra layer of variety in their vocal stylings. -Brian Varneke

Great harmonies with a current yet retro pop feel, their high energy gigs with catchy original songs mixed with a vintage/ contemporary sound make them one of the best bands around. - A.J. Wachtel

Everything was in place with vocals and instrumentally, they all are very good players. The bass player has a warm tone and is in the pocket. The main guitarist now plays a 12 string for several songs and he milks it for all it’s worth. He plays riffs that are both memorable hooks and move the songs as well as giving that distinctive tone. Wonderful stuff...Truthfully, it’s the originals that'll distinguish them. - Boston Groupie News

This is the first time I’ve come out expressly because The FORZ were playing ... Guess I’m officially a fan now (even if I’m not sure if their name is alluding to Star Wars or golf). Rather than “retro,” the band is self-described as “vintage” rock ’n’ roll. Put another way, The FORZ are a bunch of young guys doing mid-’60s British rock, specifically that point where it moved away from the Mersey sound but before the hippie/druggy sound took hold. So that would be interesting progressive, not boring, dull and bloated progressive. While they keep it all very authentic and faithful, their youth gives it vibrancy. Another big compliment is that they are excellent playing live, but in the studio they have even more color and nuance (check out their debut CD!). They are very, very, very good at what they’re doing. Frank Strom - The Noise Boston

The Forz | The FORZ- These Boston boys, who take their cue from 1960s pop and rock conventions, grind out 15 catchy tunes on their debut album. It’s quite the corker and very well done. We especially love the manic, Merseybeat-styled “Sleep Deprived” and the equally Mersey-esque, mid-tempo, clapalongable “Today.” Both are now playing in rotation on Pure Pop Radio, along with “Back to You,” “Meant for Me,” “Night and Day,” and “What Can I Say.” We love this kind of stuff, and we’re thrilled to have this band on our air. - Alan Haber’s Pure Pop Radio

Among the myriads of great bands whose music Bandcamp has helped make available, The Forz are one of the very best with their 'Beatlesque' style acknowledged on their own Bandcamp page where they are referred to as a four-piece power pop combo from Boston (...) known for their high energy performances, catchy original songs, and vintage-yet-refreshing rock sound. Please help spread the message as The Forz really deserve to be more widely known.
